Electronic music legend Carl Stone’s remix of Tortoise’s “Night Gang”—the final track on the band's 2025 album Touch—is chopped, scattered, and chopped again. Artillery-spatter whiplash percussion winds up the aural space until the tune releases into undulating, wide-stereo box fan garbles, flanging and phasing like sound barriers breaking amongst the crisp snap of big beat snares.
